Baldur's Gate is the first in an epic series of Role Playing games produced by Bioware. The game is set in an area of the Forgotten Realms world and puts the player in the middle of an intriguing plot that is revealed as they progress.
Progression through the game is not linear, the player is free to wander around the large game world and visit places in any order they wish although you have to do specific tasks set for you to progress the plot.
Tales of the Sword Coast is the official expansion released for Baldur's Gate. It adds new items, new monsters, a few bug fixes and tweaks to the engine and best of all a handful of interesting new areas for you to explore.
It's highly recommended that you play through Baldur's Gate 1 and the Expansion (they integrate seamlessly) before progressing to Baldur's Gate 2 as it provides for a much better experience plot-wise overall.

We have created 6 characters containing all the spells available and also all 6 tomes that can be used to increase your attributes and placed them into one file with some information about version compatibility.
The characters should load in any version of the game but note that if you don't have the expansion pack you will not get the extra 4th or 5th level spells.
